Early April, 2009 Calendar of Model Railroad Events
There are many scale model railroad shows, conventions, club open houses, museums and train meets available to visit on the first weekend of April, 2009. Check with your local hobby shop, clubs, and newspapers for offerings closer to home. Check out e-mail lists, groups, web sites, forums, and blogs that concentrate on your favorite scale, railroad, era, or geographic area. Museums are great. Make sure to track down knowledgable volunteers and staff. Their in depth knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject matter is often unmatched.
